Brompton String Quartet

Winner of the St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition 2019 and the Royal College of Music String Quartet Competition 2022, the Brompton Quartet is known for its engaging and dynamic performances.
Recent highlights include debuts at Wigmore Hall and Turner Sims Southampton, an appearance on BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’ with Lawrence Power, and being selected as a Park Lane Group Artist, and Making Music Artist.
The Quartet has received guidance from eminent musicians, including Alfred Brendel, David Waterman, Alina Ibragimova, Heinz Hollinger, Catherine Manson, and members of the Pavel Haas, London Haydn and Marmen Quartets.
The Quartet has performed at prestigious venues such as Kings Place, Conway Hall, Purcell Room at Southbank Centre, The Red House at Aldeburgh, St James’s Piccadilly, and St Martin-in-the-Fields, and have participated in festivals around the UK such as the Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival as Quartet-in-Residence, West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival and the Chipping Campden May Festivals.
The Quartet explore a diverse range of repertoire, from the Baroque era to works of the present day. Their contemporary repertoire includes pieces by Roxanna Panufnik, Richard Ayres, Caroline Shaw and collaborations with living composers. In 2022, the quartet commissioned String Quartet No. 3 from Noah Max.
